Lil Eazy-E — born Eric Darnell Wright on April 23, 1984, in Compton, California — is an American rapper, entrepreneur, and the oldest son of Eazy-E, the late N.W.A founder and gangsta rap pioneer.
He grew up in the same Compton neighborhood as his father and was only ten years old when Eazy-E passed away in 1995. Like his father, Lil Eazy-E was drawn to hip-hop early and began recording music in the early 2000s. His breakout moment came in 2003 with the track “Lil Eazy-Er Said,” a tribute remix of his father’s hit “Eazy-Er Said Than Dunn.”
Throughout his career, Lil Eazy-E has collaborated with several major artists, including Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, The Game, Ice Cube, and Jim Jones. His long-anticipated debut album, The Prince of Compton, has remained a major talking point among fans, symbolizing the continuation of his father’s legacy.
